Cache file not being read on plugin reload

Description

The cache.json file in the .data folder is not being used at all during a /meg reload, but is only being read and used on server startup.

If a set of models is being deployed across two servers, with it being created on Server1 and being deployed on Server2, with the Server1 cache file being also placed on Server2, the following can happen:

  • if the file is put while the server is already in execution, then using /meg reload will evaluate at and this will result in the Server2 using a different resourcepack from the one present on Server1
  • if the server is restarted, the generated resourcepack is the same across the servers
To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
