the function of adding custom characters does not work

I tried to add a symbol based on the wiki guide, it didn't work. I used a clean server

my friend and I have found the reason for this error. When generating pack textures 1 ) pack.mcmeta is not created 2) Characters are entered incorrectly in \generation\resource_pack\assets\minecraft\font\default.json

when correcting a character to unicode, everything starts to work
